The first imaging results using the Amplitude Tm-doped laser with extended tunability range covering the 1700-1900nm wavelength range were presented at the Markus Pessa Summer School in Tampere, Finland this week.
These are the first results from the ongoing imaging experiments at the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO) in Barcelona, Spain. The next step for the ICFO team is to explore the potential of the laser for deep tissue imaging in this underexplored wavelength range.
