This week the results of research carried out by Amplitude Coordinator Dr Regina Gumenyuk and her team were presented at Photonics West 2023. The team at Tampere University (Finland) has developed a novel Tm-doped fiber laser that operates in the 3rd biological window.
The laser is now on it's way to our imaging partner at ICFO (Spain) to investigate the use of the laser to improve the penetration depth of imaging in biological tissue.
